New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal

TYTUS plays heavy metal in the glorious tradition of bands like early Metallica, Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Megadeth and so on. The band is a classic four-piece: Mark Simon Hell and Ilija Riffmeister on lead guitars, the second handling also lead vocals, Markey Moon on bass and Frank Bardy on drums.
All former members of different bands like Gonzales, La Piovra, Ohuzaru, Eu's Arse, Upset Noise, active for years in the punk, rock and hadcore european scene which extensively toured Europe, USA and Japan in the previous decade, taking the underground scene by storm.
While rising from the muds of NWOBHM, the four-headed monster stomps its big feet in the swamps of hard-rock with the urgency of punk rock .
In May 2014 they released their first 7" ep "White Lines" for three different labels: Self Destructo (USA), Ghost Highway (Spain) and Kornalcielo (Italy).
After a few line-up changes, in october 2017 their first full length "Rises" has been released by Sliptrick Records, the album has been recorded an mixed at Track Terminal Studio in Trieste by drummer Frank Bardy, and then mastered at Dead Air Studios in Leverett (MA, USA) by Will Killingsworth.
It features guest appearances by English former White Wizzard's guitar player Will Wallner and the German singer and songwriter Conny Ochs.
In these few years they shared the stage with bands the likes of Pentagram, Crowbar, Church Of Misery, Warrior Soul, Valient Thorr, Castle and Gozu, touring Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Autria, Czech Rep. and Slovenia; played in International Festival as MetalDays (Slovenia) and Home Festival (Italy).
in 2017 they went back to Track Terminal studio to record their second album and they signed a contract with the Spanish label Fighter Records.
"Rain After Drought" features 10 songs heavily influenced by NWOBHM and early thrash metal; cover artwork by Solo Macello (Mastodont, High On Fire, Deftones, E. Morricone...) out in January 2019
